Please vote for us at Tesco

6th October 2018

SGS Pegasus School hopes to achieve a share of Tesco’s bag fund.

SGS Pegasus School has been nominated for the Tesco Bags of Help initiative.

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores awarded to local community projects.

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.

Our school will use the funds to develop a Sensory area in our outdoor playground. Pupils will enjoy new equipment, sensory toys and a place to relax during the school day.

Voting is open in the following Tesco stores from Thursday 1st November to Monday 31st December 2018 and customers will cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.

  • Bradley Stoke Express, Bradley Pavilions, BS32 0BQ
  • Bradley Stoke Extra, Bradley Stoke Centre, BS32 8EF
  • Tesco @ Hatchet Rd, Hatchet Rd, BS34 6TU
  • Bradley Stoke Express, Baileys Court Farm, BS32 8EJ
  • Winterbourne Esso Express, High St, BS36 1RE

Tesco’s Bags of Help project has already delivered over £60 million to more than 18,000 projects across Britain. Tesco customers get the chance to vote for three different groups every time they shop. Every other month, when votes are collected, three groups in each of Tesco’s regions will be awarded funding.

Please ask family and friends to support our school to achieve this.

Yours sincerely,

Sara Goldhawk (Head Teacher)
